Our pop-up hangouts offer an accessible, empowering and fun way to activate archives and collections, letting people – especially young people – engage with materials hands-on, on their own terms.
(Don’t worry, we won’t expect you to cut up your holdings – but we might ask for print-outs.)
Hangouts are easy to adapt for various groups, scales and themes.
At conferences, they enable ice-breaking, alternative forms of knowledge exchange and idea generation, plus breakout or quiet space.
Our workshops also unite teams across departments to enhance staff wellbeing and internal connections.
Our partners include Amsterdam Public Library, Archivo Arkhé Madrid, Bishopsgate Institute, Historic Royal Palaces, Kew Gardens, National Trust, Queer Heritage and Collections Network and UCL Grant Museum of Zoology.
